i finally got a zenit film developed today! i love it, tbut jessops photo technician didn't. he knows me now, and knows i always use dodgy cameras ahahahhaa. the sprockets seem to have gotten caught when rewinding, so they were all torn off. which made it difficult for him to print the photos as a group, so had to do them all individually. i should write him a thank you note with my next film.
the pictures turned out great though! i love them, will scan them soon. also, i'm absolutely obsessing with katy perrys album lately which makes me excited to see her in june, and it's noah and the whale a week today, aaaand anti flag tonight (a friends band is supporting, you see) good times to be had :) |

finished fight club.

amazing.
and palahniuks afterword is hilarious! bit late on reading this one, but it was worth the wait. if, like me, you've neglected it for too long, read it NOW. i cou;dn't put it down. it's the kind of book that makes me want to write, but we all know i'm talentless at writing.
we got a new brief today, it's posters again. but a lot more freedom? it might just feel that way because i've been stuck doing stop the drop for the last few weeks ha.

i've finally started reading fightclub. it's about time!
and i put a photo from the yoko exhibition on flickr, it's of the wish tree. i've got to do a presentation tomorrow on a designer of my choice. i chose graham dolphin. turns out, one of his video pieces is being shown in a church near home in sunderland. craazy, but should be interesting. short one here, but thought i'd drop in. |

i'm watching eagle vs shark for the billionth time. and i'm extremely excited, because tomorrow i'm going to see the learning to love you more exhibition at the baltic, that opened today. I CAN'T WAIT.
so i was pretty down yesterday, because i did an assessment at uni that was a complete disaster. i just lose myself when doing presentations, i can't get my words out properly and i just rush rush rush. i was really upset by the end of it, silly as it may be. but coming home has made up for it.
it's just nice to have my own bedroom and that. plus, my howies winter 08 catalogue was here waiting for me. i only really like them for the design aspect of things, i just can't afford their clothes on a student budget!
if you're allowed to take photos in the exhibition, i'll post some polaroids on my flickr tomorrow :D

for inspirational, emotional, truthful, honest, uplifting words for a title. the lackof saddens me. this will change soon, thank you.
2009 is full of determination, for personal experiments and university projects and adventures and laziness and living and sometimes just sitting quietly reflecting. it's all good. i'm going to start some of these take a picture everyday things. they seem fun and i've always wanted to do one. and the learning to love you more assignments, they're fun.

the t-shirts my mam got me from threadless for christmas arrived this morning. i love them! so it's back to middlesbrough tomorrow, and university on monday. i'm excited to see everyone there, but i've grown so used to being home these past 3 weeks. it's going to be weird. looks like i'll be back to takeaways as a weekly occurence! so unhealthy yet so so good. oh and i finished the lovely bones, it was so good, go read it now! you won't regret it.
also, i'm 19 in less than 2 months

wow, my last post was in september? before i started uni? and now my first term is over! so it's been a long time since i even logged into lj. craaazy. a LOT has happened in the last 2 months or so, including (obviously) my first (nerve racking!) day of university, a trip to prague, christmas, and just all sorts in general. also, i got myself a flickr, just for fun purposes really. i'm not a 'photographer' ;) i've stuck some uni work on there. it's moreso just a blog of pictures i suppose? who knows. big news too! me and some friends from graphics have put a deposit down on a house! yessssaaaa, i can't wait to move out of halls. i hate them! i would totally advise against them to anyone going to uni next year, they're awful.
i read a million little pieces by james frey this month, it's an amazing book and if you havn't read it you're missing out. big time. i cried at some parts and howled with laughter at others. so it's new years eve tomorrow. the end of another year. it's crazy, christmas and new years always seems so unexpected to me, like they just jump out of nowhere. and i can't think of any resolutions for next year, but i am going to make a 'to do in 09' list. i want to feel like i've accomplished a lot this time next year. |

the last month has been hectic and slightly emotional, especially the last few days.
but i'm getting more and more stuff sorted out for university. i ordered all my books (second hand, £28 for the lot!) and bought myself 2 new books as a treat. the first is naive, super by erland loe, which has been on my 'to read' list for far too long, and the raw shark texts. i'm still currently reading memoirs of a geisha, it's a brilliant read so far.
it's getting on to midnight now and i'm sitting with my brother and dean watching an episode of mock the week we've had recorded on sky plus for months, probably. it's really comforting to sit and laugh. and currently undergoing a selfless good deed, is making me feel better.
unversity is 2 weeks and a few days away, and i've never felt so mixed about it. i'm so excited, yet so nervous i can't explain. it's going to be my first totally, 100% independent experience. i' looking forward to all the new people i'll meet, and freshers week sounds so much fun! but we'll see, i can't wait for all the new experiences ahead of me :D |

i went to an open day at teesside uni on saturday. it really opened me eyes to the fact that i might (hopefully) be moving there in september. and i'm actually really scared. so anyway, i was reading a few days ago a blog on the secret handshakes myspace that was '100 things you may not know' about luis. it was great fun to read, so i thought i'd try my own!

so evo was really good! we left early after crystal castles, but i seen them &does it offend so i'm happy. however, polaroid have once again screwed me over with dodgy film. i got 2 pictures out of a 10 pack! yet i'm still gutted they've discontinued it. i'm onto the second pack of the 20 exposures i bought, and this pack seem to have white dots on them. it's not a very happy experience! but here are the four polaroids i got out of the day

and yeaa! paramore just came on as #2 on the rock top ten. i love the fisheye in this video, haha. and #1 is bullet..i won't express my opinion on them at present. yeaa it's say anything like, a week today! how excited am i. obviously, i'm gutted that cartel and $ecret handshake got cancelled, but at least i won't be sitting at home moaning about it for 2 days straight.

met them too, they were lovelyyy.
and i'm addicted to ebay pretty much 24/7 now. got a lush new jumper the other day, posted a picture on tumblr and myspace it's lush.
and it's evo on monday, crystal castles for the second time this month should be canny like.
and does it offend you yeaaaa, can't wait.
